Spring 2010 In Store And Website

Barcelona Heart with aqua and green diamonds, silver and gold.

Love formed the entire atlas of the globe,
plotted a course for the rest of us, home,
sailing alone single-handed around the world-

-Ian Burgham

Hearts are difficult to make without the usual cheesy, cutesy connotations so I wanted to create one with an unusual and unexpected design for Valentine's Day. Shown here is the Barcelona in silver. We also are making it in bronze which has really beautiful and rich quality. It comes with teardrop shaped moonstones or aqua and has 11 tiny green diamonds set into the vines. I hope you all enjoy the new collection as much as I enjoyed making it. To see the drawing and wax of this piece click here.

  1. From which book do your Ian Burgham quotes come? They're lovely and I'd love to read more of his work.

Most of the poetry I have used by Ian is from The Stone Skipper and the poetry we used for this collection is from his new book coming out in April, The Grammar of Distance. A few also came from another book that is in the works.

  5. Jeanine,
I just wanted to say how beautiful your work is. It is an honor to have you use my words on graceful designs. It is generous of you to let them live in this way.

And I thank Maryn for her interest in my work. My new book will be released in May of this year by Tightrope Books of Toronto.
